Ensuring that this doesn’t become a plan that just sits on the shelf, the City proceeded to approve the detailed design for the first of ten planned streetscaping projects.  This first project includes the re-envisioned Main Street from Jefferson all the way to Locust.  This project also includes the proposed “North Main Plaza” which will provide an exciting new venue for outdoor events such as small concerts and festivals, along with adjacent amphitheater-type seating.  (Check out the design renderings for this project here.)

Survey crews are already active Downtown collecting the data for the new design.  It’s finally time to start taking the dreams for Downtown and turning them into a reality!
